‘You forget the wall, the boundaries become unrecognisable, you are aware of what you view while wondering habitually around a space. In a gallery the picture plane is clear of all obstacles, this allows you as the viewer to loose all perspective as a picture can hold anything. An invisible frame is made in the landscape, as a viewer wandering, wondering within the space you look out through the case.’

My practice reproduces pre-existing artefacts to question their functionality and the way that they have come into being. I am currently producing a body of work surrounding the research of a specific 'case'.   

I work across film, photography and installation in order to create an immersive environment that gives a sense of the journey that combines my research and locates the viewer in a specific site. The role of story telling and the voice is an important element in my work; it is a way to combine factual narratives that I have found when visiting certain spaces with a sense of being immersed in that particular location. The props I create are positioned to make a suggestion about a previous place or idea. I often use lighting and reflective materials to create environments in the gallery space that allude to a place that you cannot reach.
