Rekindle: Design for retirement
Rekindle is a platform to help retirees with skills to find projects and make meaningful contributions where their experience is respected.
The goal is to bridge employment to unemployment through activities. Retirees change from service user to service provider and then are able to make continuous contributions to the community. It helps them feel meaningful and settle into better retirement.
Creating/making/building is a way to understand, interact and influence the outer world, which cannot be replaced by leisure activities. The experience of making brings a feeling to enrich life and feel young again.
