Lolito
The 'Lolito' represents the inappropriate desire for an ideal beauty. It
is a motif which expresses the lust for innocence, which has been
turned into a product in Eastern as well as Western media, as a result
of cultural colonisation.
As seen on the covers of magazines and
fashion spreads, the Lolita is a young, beautiful, fragile, and thin
girl with pale skin – an amaranthine mirage which drives hedonistic
consumption. Lolita embodies the socially repressed, passive
–aggressive
sexual human instinct in the commercial fashion industry. By reversing
sexual objectification, which is usually projected on woman, my work is an incarnation of 'Lolito' in the context of Imperialism of the ideal beauty.

My personal work is based on a philosophy of ethically and emotionally sustainable design that is adaptable for commercial purposes.Â
I previously studied BA Textile Art and Fashion and completed my shoe making and pattern cutting training in a footwear factory in Seoul, South Korea.Â
I'm now looking for opportunities in luxury menswear footwear and sneaker design.
