The ‘AV1’ series has been generated by feeding pulses of sound into a cathode ray tube television. The resulting imagery is then reconfigured into woven and embroidered textiles. Shifting bands of luminosity emulate the flickering updates on the screen.
My practice is an investigation of visual sensations.
My starting points for ideas are formed by play, be it with materials or research matter. I use experimental methods to develop colour and surface. My approach is open-ended and can be applied to multiple disciplines and questions such as wearables, interiors or autonomous artworks.
