  • I make spontaneous, concept-led performances and videos which combine DIY politics and absurdist humour. I use my visual/sculptural practice as a means to interpret and intervene in normative language and codes of behaviour. Through the invention of humorously subversive acts, my performances explore the politics of day-to-day experience. Moments are staged but aspects in between are often improvised, allowing space for a genuine exchange with the audience.

I am drawn to a punk and lo-fi aesthetic, often using what’s around me as my materials. A new narrative is formed through the collaging of these everyday objects and my interaction with them. I am interested in feelings of discomfort and awkwardness and how out of this a strangeness is born, a place where we can consider a world where everything is not as it seems.
