Working with video for over ten years my work explores physical and digital phenomena, and the social cognition of its production as a video image. By abstracting the video image in camera via consumer video products, the complex imagery’s accessible process invites the viewer to question its production; visualised around ideas of structure and natural form. This process aesthetically separates the represented image from the recorded event, while consolidating the two through technological awareness.

For Show RCA I am installing an interpretation of a cabinet of curiosity. The cabinet will house a series of optical processes that can only be truly realised via the audience’s mobile phone camera. Here they will be asked to create their own videos, which can then be sent to me using the WiFi available in the space forming a body of research material.
