A series of prints are inspired by the expedition Jade took in 2017 around Central Asia. She is interested in the Soviet mosaic how the jarring elements bring to an alertness of character proximity. The distance between the characters seems to be so close but they never encounter; vice versa, the potential human gravity could oppose the physical distance in reality. She depicts the holistic image with intricate patterns that give the viewer another perspective of seeing the work in relation to the idea of distance.

Jade's work is largely inspired by her travels to various obscure places. She recently finished her expedition in various post-Soviet countries in search of the lost from the past. The photographs and experience on her journeys become the starting point and recreate a new journey on her work. Her interest lies in deconstructing symbolism from the past within real life events and make them part of her personal fictions. Her work developed from paintings to prints over the past few years with the thought of space overlapping another space that is inspired by the confusion in between reality and truth that rapid technology has given to us. The repetitive patterns bring a camouflage effect that questions if the status of individual would turn statics within untouchable abstract movements. The contrast between small and large generates a delusion blurs the difference between truth and fantasy.
