  • I develop systems of making that involve repetition and variation. I use pattern for its ability to shift between forms and dimensions. An external stimulus can create an internal idea, which can lead to a process that generates a design that is used to construct an object, all sharing the same pattern. By being both abstract and systematic, pattern can act with freedom and precision.
