My approach to design is experience-led, learning and developing ideas from objects, obstacles and opportunities around me. I feel challenged to respond to situations, seeking solutions to people’s needs.

We live in a time of product over-production and self-indulgence, and I endeavour to design responsibly and appropriately.

My background in both cabinet making and architecture has combined into a traditional and modest approach with craft influences, alongside a problem-solving, contemporary and technological way of working. I relish the challenges and continue to build my knowledge of appropriate materials and processes, which — I hope — will keep my designs timeless.
