My practice explores the illusory nature of our everyday world, creating sculpted works and performances that pinpoint threshold positions, taking the form of stage sets, magic props, mysterious objects, and rituals that are encountered in private moments. I identify these as ‘activation points’, elements which, when encountered in everyday landscapes, call the viewer in to a questioning state, akin to wonder, something which has transitioned from my background in magic to the sculptural object as an active force.
