At present I am working with the notion of 'context' and it's power and limitations in different art forms, presently through tackling the idea of a specific or individual experience becoming relatable, general, or universal. To achieve this I work with mediums that assist my project’s aims. This has included printmaking, drawing, text, video, sound, performance, endurance, collaboration and public projects and workshops.
I have worked and researched in the realm of psychosis and psychotic art; it's potential, restrictions and categorisation in a social and cultural arena. This is a passionate commitment of mine and I often lecture on the subject, trying to tackle unconscious bias and false stereotyping through informing ignorance and having open and uncensored conversations.
I plan to explore these themes further in the future by creating a language that transcends language barriers, prejudice, and cultural and societal references.
