Perform

Isabella's project was inspired by the urban environment, in particular constant motion marked with unexpected bursts of energy. In response, she created performance fabrics which transform and come alive with light and interaction.

  • Having grown up in the theatre with a professional dancer, Isabella became utterly besotted with colour and materials. The way textiles reflected stage lighting, its durability and ability to enhance the performer, the fabric was paramount.

In her work, she creates materials that perform with light and interaction. An exploration into how textiles can enhance the infinite and glorious ways the human body performs in motion.
