MA work

MA work

Born in St Petersburg, my childhood was dominated by the classic arts, architecture, music and literature. In Germany I learnt about design as the means to achieve beauty and innovation, the need for rules and finally the passionate attention to detail that brings a design to life. Ultimately it is imagination and uniqueness that characterise the most interesting solutions.

Vehicle design combines technology, function and emotion. Product demands are high – to facilitate a user–product relationship that is intelligent, long-living and contextual. Vehicles are like sculptures and need to be appealing and accessible from all angles. This course offered me the opportunity to apply my enthusiasm for traditional crafts in a conceptual and scientific context.
