The photographs I have created stand as a visual metaphor for the individuals who suffered during the Lithuanian regime. I want the viewers to remember these people and the struggles that they went through, whilst showing the traces of bloodshed that remain after independence has been regained. These traces of malice should never be celebrated, but equally never forgotten.
