Rationality and Emotion
What is the relationship between rationality and emotion? In this installation, tentacles follow viewers, and once people stop moving, the tentacles start to wobble and scratch. Artificial tentacles therefore become an aggressive creature, a trembling vine. I built a tracking system, representing how rationality and emotion are always embodied. They are meant to be awakened in this installation.

What is the relationship between an intuitive choice and a considered decision? Are they conflicting or cooporative? From an initial feeling to a deliberate plan, are our decisions produced through collaboration or compromise?
My artistic practice employs mechanical systems. From a CNC plotter to a linear rail track, I am interested in using logical machines and glitching movement to explore the relationship between rationality and emotion.
