Wisdom: Find Wisdom Beyond Age

Almost all countries in the world are facing a demographic change. In the UK, 1 in 4 people will be aged 65 and older by 2030. Therefore in the future, an ageing society is not a possibility, but an upcoming reality. However, ageing is not merely 'lost youth', but can be a new stage of opportunity and strength.

How might we leverage the accumulated experience and knowledge of senior people to support startups and small businesses in need, empowering them to develop a meaningful exchange so that both can thrive in society?

Wisdom - find wisdom beyond age

Wisdom is a service that matches experienced, retired specialists with startups and small businesses, linking the wisdom of seniors with people who are looking for guidance.

Through project collaboration, mentoring and networking meetups, Wisdom helps retired people stay active, connected and better able to give their accumulated experience back to society. Meanwhile, the startups and small businesses in need of guidance can tap into expertise and life wisdom, and develop their professional network in a more accessible and time-efficient way.

    MA Service Design, 2018

  • As a designer, I am interested in design for social innovation and not afraid of being challenged in different kinds of project and exploration. I love travelling around the world to explore the unknown. I hope that my design practice can bring more meanings to this world.

I believe that design can be transformative and inspire changes in society. I try to integrate my beliefs into my projects, from the universal product design in my BA graduation project to my MA service design project for co-designing mental health services for young people in Thurrock. Every project is an adventure to me, helping me clarify my thoughts, challenge my boundaries and establish my belief as a designer.
