MA work

Urban Campfire

By using objects such as desk lamps, a humidifier and a turntable, this work synthetically creates the feeling of a campfire. The flame is made of the projected desk lamp’s light through the humidifier’s vapours; the crackling sound, like that of burning dry wood, comes from the turntable. Although this work doesn’t create heat like a real bonfire, audiences can get a feeling of getting warm.
