Selfie and The Self
Im interested in the depiction and positioning of women in relation to the inner and outer perspectives and pressures of todays contemporary western society and culture. The status of women where they don't even function as bodies anymore but confused and confusing objects. Present in the work are themes surrounding the male gaze, selfie culture and curation of self.
