Engaging with an analytical drawing practice as a way of directing an exploration of form and dynamic structure, my work examines our perception of form through the structural composition of texture.

The physical aspect of the process led me to study the body from a more multi-dimensional perspective, which became integral to the development of my ideas. The documentation of instinctive hand cutting was contextualised alongside an experimental use of digital-aided making, where captured moments of formation became abstract graphic imagery.

This intimacy between the tactile and digital elements became an extension of my own manual practice, resulting in refined textures and emotively-stimulating visuals.
