Hiromi Ozaki

MA work

As her pop musician alter ego ‘Sputniko!’, Hiromi Ozaki will showcase three manga-inspired characters who design objects to fulfill their own particular complex needs: a crow-shaped robot for communicating with crows, a sushi-serving cyborg who modifies her body into a lethal weapon, and a suit for experiencing the painful bleeding of menstruation. As digital and bio technologies become widely accessible to the amateur public, what ‘mini-revolutions’ might we conduct on our bodies and environments? The characters are just a glimpse of techno-rebels who you could become in ten years, one year, or… tomorrow.
