The Boltham Legacy
The Boltham Legacy is a fictional story of the challenges of long term thinking in technological application and development and the projections of human desire and ambition into systems of machines.
British billionaire Lloyd Frederic Boltham secretly founded a private space programme. Taking advantage of recent breakthroughs in synthetic biology and the discovery of unknown exoplanets he succeeded to launch a secret 400-year mission that sends mineral-detecting bacteria to a planet far outside of our solar system. After his death the mission became the unique legacy of his family and several generations to come will observe the journey of his space probe in secret.
The narrative is presented through several objects and graphics that are owned by the Boltham family.
