My practice is driven by a compulsion to make, while being firmly rooted in observational drawing.
Inspired by Royal Mail sorting offices, kitchen utensils and the ideals of cottage industries, I invent tools and workstations to allow the duplication of my drawings. The home kitchen meets the print workshop, attempting mass-production on a domestic scale. By re-appropriating and adapting familiar domestic objects and employing makeshift methods, I aim for self-sufficiency. A drawing becomes a print, yet the unique event of each mark remains an important element within my editions of one-offs.
