My MA in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art has taken me into new directions of sculptural work and playful surfaces, working with abstractions of urban landscapes and horizons. As a London cyclist since 1990's I have been absorbing my surroundings on the move; masses of visual data and constant flux.      Â
I have experimented with illusionary and graphical qualities in clay, the optical possibilities of 2D and 3D is a major interest to me as well as systems, mathematics, order - and lack of. The objects that emerge in my work convey movement and shifting perspectives, even blurring that occur within form, scale and surface.
In an over stimulated world, the aim of my what I create is to silence the surroundings, disengage with time and offer a world of sensory reverie to the audience.
