Staging Body-hacking
This project borrows spatial composition from social occasions and applies it to the current body-hacking environment. Although body-hacking has begun to resurface, a growing interest and an increasing number of practices are still devoid of self-braking force. While scrutinising occasions as – wedding ceremonies, religious rituals, or funerals – in which a series of acts is prolonged and segmented, this project transfers architectural elements of those space to body-hacking place and deploys them in a specific configuration. In doing so, dual aims of raising self-awareness of the consequence and precluding automatisation of the process for each participant and practitioner will be achieved.
