Hayley Potter
My work exists from a love of narratives and magical worlds. I am inspired by nature, timeless landscapes, and the Victorian era which was shared by amazing characters in costume, eccentric collectors, and influential artists and writers. I communicate these interests by image and model-making, drawing from observation and writing stories. I always have a sketch book with me to capture fleeting thoughts, ideas, and spontaneous drawings, which might otherwise get away.
Influenced by fine artists as well as illustrators and designers, I enjoy the challenge of a brief, but intend to always respond to them in an imaginative and personal way.
