Mother and the Manufacture of Anxiety has been a form of exploration and expression of myself through making.

The work addresses my experience of anxiety as a person and practitioner, and how my relationship with my mother feeds into that.Â

Through the making of objects and sets and the use of digital media such as projections, film and photography, my practice focuses on the gap between the made object and the photographed image and understanding the relationship.
The process of making objects and setting up spaces will only complete itself once it becomes a final image, when that space I have created is still framed and the original environment has become altered.Â
Subjects in my work include fiction, young women, psychology, surrealism and often myself. Â
