Nurture
Influenced by the notion that materials can be used as tools for informal therapy, Nurture is an investigation into weighted objects and woven surface qualities. Through research into the beneficial effects of gardening on our overall wellbeing, a colour and material narrative has been formed surrounding the setting of 'the allotment'. The project aims to emulate that very sense of groundedness and hyper-presence through a conscious use of colour and texture; alongside engineering multilayered and modular woven objects, where each component has a purpose. These pieces function as material companions, and can be used both in and out of the domestic sphere.

Hannah is a CMF designer and researcher specialising in woven construction. With a holistic approach to design thinking, she questions the wider role that materiality can play between humans and their environment, by balancing technical engineering, narrative building and studies in colour composition.
