In a society where digital space or non-space is becoming prevalent in how we remember and mourn for our dead in response to the formation of digital ghosts (the holding of our personal information and profiles in a purgatorial space, even after death), how do we take ownership of our responsibility to remember and bury the remains of our dead in both physical and digital space.

By performing the archive of lost stories of 'Death Midwives'; women who performed a gendered role within society by preparing the bodies of the dead for the men to read the rites of passage to deliver the soul unto the afterlife, over layered with an account of the present people in the environment, the artist explores our responsibility of remembering and caring for our dead, the performance of subjecthood within death and reclaims control of the information, the archive of the live work that consumed her subjecthood and presents a fragmentation of time, occurring through the live stream, the video of previous performances of archiving and the disembodied self within digital space.

Do these spiritual spaces or digital ghosts exist if the rituals are not being performed?
