My work seeks to reveal the beauty in things than have been used, damaged or broken.

As a result of research about denim and denim cultures, I studied Japanese processes and mantras such as Boro, Wabi-Sabi and Kintsugi—the Japanese art of mending pottery using staples, glue and gold leaf.

Using both raw and treated denim, masculine shapes and rough materials are feminised through manipulating, fitting and shaping, creating garments that play with the concept of spontaneity and the 'happy accident'.

My collection explores the art of re-use whilst challenging the forms of gender in traditional work wear.
