This work is inspired by my time spent working on MGM's Vikings in Wicklow, and the techniques and methodologies learned there. This collection is an ode to traditional styles of making in a modern context, to encourage appreciation for the handmade.
Materials used include leather, brocade, silks, cottons, latex, rubber and neoprene.

My work aims to highlight the ability of the hand, as it is our greatest tool. It involves hand punching holes in leather, neoprene, silk, brocades, jacquards, latex, rubber, and crocheting panels together.
I strive to evoke a relationship between wearer and garment, to encourage wearers to cherish their garments.
