Poverty is a big problem for Mexico. My work aims to use design thinking as an enabler to mitigate this poverty. Food is used as a vehicle to achieve this goal and at the same time aims to provide Mexico City dwellers with good, clean, fair and healthy food. By doing this we are not only moving people out of poverty but also helping customers live a healthier life.
I believe that design can be used to change the unfavourable conditions that the majority of society lives in. This is highlighted by the intention to create a social enterprise that helps disadvantaged communities activate their economies through their own businesses.
