Beyond the studio and the gallery, my practice extends the body to the audience and the environment. I am investigating the concept of liquidity through making performance.
The body of this is the notion of The return. The return relates to travel, identity, relationships (personal and interpersonal), rituals, interior and exterior space, looking backwards.
Charcoal, fire and water are some transformative processes used during performances. They bring a departure from the everyday, a gateway: separating the situation from the flow of the ordinary. I extend time during my work, constructing a personally deconstructive methodology.
