The installation works communicate mutable positions on materiality; not a place at centre-stage, but just to left of your peripheral consciousness, hovering overhead and low to the floor. Clay and ceramic objects operate here as hollow passages and conduits of mineral, metal and chemical fizz with an anatomical deconstruction – its both ancient and new, never sure of its fit, its timing or full purpose.
Addressing collective concerns over systemic collapse and defunct industry opens up spaces to reform and augment meanings and new identities for ourselves. A space to notice the changes and small shifts away from a sense of being, origin or groundedness.
