Recently my work has been centring around an anxiety. What do we expect from construction, craft, labour, and how do these expectations relate to the artwork?
I guess my background in architecture is relevant in several respects. I can connect it to the place of drawing in my work, to my distrust in authorship as ideal or even as something pertinent in itself, and also to my interest in process. Prints are sometimes a fine way to approach these issues. Their low cultural value can save them, and they fail more interestingly when they are constructed, crafted things.
