Onixx

How does being an energy producer inform our behavior as an energy consumer? Using the lightweight and versatile properties of dielectric elastomers, Onixx is an ergonomic textile that generates energy through the user’s natural body movement. It is a wearable personal and effortless green energy solution that, in parallel to an educational and energy sharing platform, permeates the user’s daily life to sustain lasting change in energy consumption behavior. Future applications include emergency signalling and calling for outdoorsmen and avid travelers. By harvesting human power and democratizing energy usage, Onixx aims to deliver an accessible and effortless green energy solution to encourage sustainable energy consumption behaviors.
