MA work

MA work

I am interested in exploring the combination of glass, gold leaf and the image. The work is concerned with form, perceptions of light, depth and reflection. I am investigating how far I can break up the solid surface visually, but I am also telling a story; what the story will be, however, I have yet to know.

The written research includes the long history of this work, in its social context, as well as reflections on its place in the world of glass and art today. My journey through the College is an adventure that is a continual surprise; I am driven to my limits and am never sure I can reach my target, but I have a firm belief that this is totally worthwhile.
