Seeing is also a movement
Seeing is also a movement explores the limits and flaws of translation and communication across paintings, sounds and a two-screen video projection. Etymologically, translation implies an act of moving or carrying across from one place to another. The works in the show embrace this approach to operating in the borders between sound and image, writing and rewriting, tracing this tilting oscillation in paintings, surfaces, notations, music and patterns which develop an unexpected conversation throughout the exhibition space.

My work arises from the collision or translation between different codes, languages and fields such as painting, sound, text and poetry. Etymologically, translation implies an act of moving or carrying across from one place to another. My practice adopts this approach to operate in the borders between sound and image, writing and rewriting, tracing this tilting movement across painting, surfaces, notations, music and patterns.
In a world where everything seems to be continuously translated and computed at an increasing speed, the question of what the limits and flaws of translation are keeps me wondering and driving my practice.
