Museum of Banishment
Revisiting the history and collective trauma of Karachay's deportation from North Caucasus to Central Asia through the prism of museology, I was interested in examining and subverting the idea of a museum as an institutionalised structure of power, dissemination of knowledge and representation.

My practice is moored in the idea of a garden as a place of conquest, a spiritual terrain, and as source of nourishment(s). It ranges from sculpture to performance, walkatives to writing and my research is currently focused on colonial botany and the ‘fictive’.
