Metatropolis - Theatre of Memory

Metatropolis is about cities and their hidden narratives. It is based on the short stories Invisible Cities, by Italo Calvino. Metatropolis takes Calvino's writing style as its method to explore urban life in London. These new stories are narrated by unknown voices and activated by the manipulation of frames placed before the audience to uncover the hidden metaphors contained in cities.

  • The intersections between 3D design of objects, interactions of people, and performers with those objects and the narrative direction, is my key area of interest. I came to design with a background in music, at the Royal College of Art, I have returned to performance through making sets, installations, and designing interactions for people and performers.
