New interactive surfaces have made everyday objects multifunctional and fun to engage with. My interests are within these reactive technologies, which have now enabled normal interfaces with new functions and new possibilities to be responsive and sensually stimulating. Consumers’ perception and attitudes towards products are formed and changed daily through the physical and digital interaction with goods. This project aims to redefine the role of surfaces in future lifestyles, exploring how surfaces respond to and integrate a part of a product or an environment. This new way to communicate sensory stimuli through music and responses creates physical sensorial experiences, both delightful and functional.
