HYPERFACE

Hyperface is an experimental augmented expressions through manipulation of our social mask enabled by artificial intelligence.

Our face is an interface to the society. However as a human, sometimes we face uncomfortable conversations, situations and other personal issues. Our states of mind and emotions are not always predictable or easy to identify, and it affects on our face. As social beings, we hope to control our state better and deal with these situations more smoothly.

What if we have a power to face our society in unexpected emotional state?

Further, artificial intelligence is already a part of our lives today, and soon it might come to our real-time communication. This self-thinking technology will be useful in numerous human communication situations especially in the lack of emotion or limitation.

What if artificial intelligence could enhance your social mask for augmented communication?

Hyperface supports our social facial expression through augmented layer of expression controled by artificial intelligence. This experimental device will understand the other person’s facial expressions when you need more empathy, truth and mediation from others and help you to get enhanced expressions in a given situation.

    MA Innovation Design Engineering, 2017

  • I am a London based designer and originally came from South Korea. Now, I am interested in the user experience and interaction between cutting-edge technology and conceptual design. I think that design-centric thinking is not enough and that in-depth research should be carried out accompanied with background knowledge in various areas. As a designer, I enjoy expanding my thinking to the future from reality for making better life and innovative project. And I would like to be in the centre of changing people's behavior with meaningful design.
