Emily Charman

MA work

MA work

My graduate collection is inspired by chinoiserie and curious design in nature. My paintings are created from observations of flowers and foliage mainly from Kew Gardens intertwined with animal bone structures observed from many museums around London.

I work on giant hand-painted repeats, painted straight onto wallpaper which I then adjust digitally.
