MA work

MA work

While working on my MA dissertation on ‘Emotionally Durable Design’, I explored how and why certain textile items are kept, and the ideas that designers are adopting to create more lasting and sustainable products. My aim has always been to create textiles that would be treasured and, ideally, passed down or shared rather than thrown away. My current work stems from a love of ordinary, domestic and often disposable fabrics such as J-cloths and napkins. Using these as inspiration and combining this with with my passion for handcraft skills, I have created a range of knitted and crocheted accessories.
