The awe-inspiring African landscape with its bold, rich and sophisticated spectrum of colours – balanced with the contrasting textures and shapes of its unique birdlife – combine to form the underlying theme of my collection. Inspiration from these divergent patterns has led to experimentation with a variety of traditional yarns. These yarns are woven with unorthodox materials such as leather, horsehair and banana bark to create tactile textures. These audacious and vibrant influences have come together to create fabrics for the interior space – fabrics that are exquisite and functional.
