A Conversation with the Filmmaker Regarding Her Sexuality

Combining comedy and catharsis, this multimedia animation is a curation of personal anecdotes, found images, and abstracted movement, woven together in an attempt by the filmmaker to understand her own sexuality (or lack thereof).

    animation--experimental-animation-pathway

  • Lizzy Rogers is an experimental animator who focuses on handmade, multimedia techniques. She often works very personally, exploring the theoretical possibilities of honesty and integrity in the modern moving image. Using tangible materials, she creates intimate communication between the filmmaker and audience, aiming to build trust and understanding between the two. Her films tend to evoke a sort of nostalgia through found imagery, textural studies, and simplistic line drawings.
