I paint, draw and screenprint designs for the interior which play between qualities of surface and representation. My research into historical design archives contributes a nostalgic quality, as I use the familiar to find originality through re-interpretation. In this collection I use humble imagery and materials to explore the relationship between functional and decorative aesthetics. Through my print and installation design, I explore how utility has become central to new formations of style and desire in the contemporary interior.
I hope to work within a studio where I can build on my experience of lifestyle, interiors and product design.
