MA work
In the past few months the world has been shaken by environmental disasters, economic crises and uncertainty about the future.
In this context the poetry of Ted Hughes (1930–1998) is very timely. Many of his texts, especially those from Crow, deal with the eternal questions of life and death, good and evil and survival in the face of adversity. His work tends to be complex and has many layers.
For this reason I have used a mixed media illustration in the book with a synthesis of photography, drawing, painting, paper-cutting and computer technology.
