ADS4: IMMORTALITY
Can a reformed Church of England address society’s greatest fears to remain relevant in an increasingly secular Britain?
In Scenes of the New Cross I consider the future of a religion confronted by an increasingly apathetic public. In a desperate attempt to reassert its influence, the Church of England exploits growing mistrust of the banking sector and fears of environmental decline with a new form of righteous finance. In colliding science and faith I speculate on how a new Ark for the twenty-first century might take shape.
