The Predominant Image: Photography and its Influence on Architecture

The socio-economic, political and technological events of the last decades have contributed to the increased use and production of images globally. The advent of the internet has led to an elevated visual predominance affecting both man and space. This research explores the relationship between photography and architecture, with the aim to create a better understanding of the influential capacities of the image in the architectural discipline and through which to contribute to an improved methodology of design incorporating the practice of photography.
