MA work

MA work is a transparency-enhancing recruitment chatbot that reverses the power asymmetry created by the concentration of AI technologies on the top. 

Companies are automating several parts of their hiring process and the role of human interaction in hiring is decreasing. This makes an already difficult process alienating. Machine learning algorithms used in recruiting are analysing applicants’ choice of language, the breadth of their vocabulary, their eye movements, the speed of their delivery, the level of stress in their voice and their emotions, sometimes even without their consent. Several inferences are then drawn to predict how successful an applicant will be. is a conversational agent that demystifies the automated hiring process. It simulates the interview process and analyses users’ responses based on tone, emotion, and personality. explains its decisions and helps people understand how they are being filtered. By opening up the inner workings of automated recruiting systems, it creates awareness about transparent and accountable algorithms and helps people claim their right to explanation.
